This contains the end of Red Photon Zillion: Burning Night. The song that plays here is "Sayonara no Machikado" by Risa Yuki. This is one of my favorite songs from an anime.

SAYONARA NO MACHIKADO ("The Street Corner Where We Said Goodbye")

I should have told you that I loved you more than anybody else
I pray that the moon
keeps you in its golden light

The skyscrapers pierce the night sky
We shared every dream that we both had together

*Holding on to the memories as they fill my heart
Tears becoming more bitter as time goes by
The street corner where we said goodbye

My face remains the same one as the time when I wanted to tell you how you put anyone at ease
When I close my eyes to the memories
I can meet you again in a place far away

The billboard neon finally becomes dark
I rush to my friends awaiting me

**Despite that I am capable of love now...
The lost light in my life becoming more bitter as time goes by
The light I had when you loved me...

Even though we may pass each other in the same place,
we'll both continue living our lives, won't we
Continuing to hold on to our dreams as we always did

If we do run into each other somewhere by chance,
I hope that you're still shining as you always did
The street corner where we said goodbye

How far to I have to go to find a happiness that exists without you in my life?
I wave my hand from afar

* repeat
** repeat

*Holding on to the memories as they fill my heart
Tears becoming more bitter as time goes by
The street corner where we said goodbye

  • "I liked the character Rick; he was a true Samurai."

Yeah, Rick was a badass! I wish we could have seen when Apple was with Rick.

  • Some of the later episodes of Zillion were amazing and definately had a high level of action for it's tiime.

Motorcycles ! Guns ! Mecha ! Zillion really set the trend for anime and action films !

I remember seeing Zillion for the first time when I was like 12 years old. Lets just say I was blown away, nothing in the USA could compare at the time.

Also I can't lie, Apple was fucking HOT !

  • the end of the classic era of anime; the 70's and 80's. That is what this song symbolizes to me. Even its "farewell" tone I think unintentionally says goodbye to that era.

  • I just went through the theme songs of the animes I grew up with in Honduras. Funny; I watched this 2 years after first arriving in the states, and this theme song almost said "goodbye" to both my childhood, and the animes I used to watch. This song gave me an overwhelming feeling that "this time is over." It was indescribably sad.

  • youtubers, anime fans PLEASE save this song to your computers; this song is so beautiful it can not, and it SHOULD NOT fall into obscurity.

  • sorry for being such a troll youtube but seriously, the way this song expresses the sadness I felt when my childhood came to an end is just spooky.

  • this song makes me all melancholy like; it marked the end of my childhood in Honduras, where I often watched animes similar to this one. Eerily enough, Red Photon Zillion was the last anime of its kind.

  • This anime is one of my favorite ending themes...EVER. Brings me back to my childhood days.

Thank you for translating the song. The lyrics are sadder now that I know! :)

  • I love this song.

To me it's more than just the end of Burning Night. It's in fact the end of all the good anime I watched when I was young.

  • i <3 this song so much and the intro as well, but how can i download these 2 songs? its not on limewire so can anybodyy tell me how can i D.L. these 2 songs please!! i would higly appreciate it:)

  • one of the first few animes i saw when i was kid staying up way too late, lol
