The Maywood Mailman. I grew up next door in Elmwood Park to the genius songwriter / artist John Prine. He's the type of Special human being that you turn your friends onto. That's exactly what i did and my friend and i have been spreading J.Prine love to everybody we talk to.

I love that more and more people are coming out and covering his stuff, for a whole new generation to appreciate! There are a lot of people out there who carry on his tradition like Todd Snider (his earlier work) but there will never be another John! :)

Nothing quite compares to JP. Not even dylan, in my opinion. So moving, so quiet, so simple, but yet so beautiful. Damn he sounds good, and damn its moving.

His songs are sweet. Theres something so gentle&touch- ing natural &poignant yet at times so dang funny.
