I wanted to test EastWest Quantum Leap Symphonic Choirs on a well known piece of music to see if it could be used by a newbie like me for music mockups. Orchestra is played by EWQL Symphonic Orchestra (I assigned instruments quickly, and this may not be very realistic).
I focused on the Choirs: find correct Votox translation for the lyrics, then tweak them. At last I think I've come to something that can be listenned without making you wish to rip your ears off.
This is far from perfect and could be improved, but this is enough to give me an idea of the possibilities of EWQLSC... and you ?

  • MAGNIFICENT WORK... People do not understand how difficult it is to work with the Symphonic Choirs VST

  • @ArGyProductions,

It is true that working with SC requires a lot of time, but I really think this specific work could be perfected (but I just prefer spending more time on learning music composition for now ;-) ).

Your work with SC in your own compositions available on your Youtube channel is very great as well, so I guess you could even give me tips on how to use it ;-)

  • WELL DONE MAN :O

The Choirs just arrived today and i've beeing trying to use the Word Builder in FL Studio but my Laptop's 3GB RAM is in sufficient so i'll need to get a Computer.. What are you specs?

  • @nitrosray,

If you're about to buy a new computer I recommend you buy 8GB RAM and a 64bits version of Windows. My computer is a Core 2 Quad with 8GB of RAM and it worked quite well for this project.

If your computer is not powerful enough to play a full orchestra or a full choir at the same time, you should try to progressively record each track as a Wav file independently.

  • @turbotlm Can you open mp3 files whit this?

  • @Musicante115,

I'm not sure I understand your question. If you're asking if one is able to get an MP3 files from a project such as this one, the answer is yes of course. Symphonic Choir is just a virtual instrument like any other, and Reaper is able to mix all virtual instruments and render a final MP3 file (which is exactly what I've done in order to map the final sound to this video).

  • I think Mozart would be fascinated by today's technology. With his 168 IQ, he would likely customize the software so he could write that little opera of his (The Magic Flute) in one week instead of 2! I still don't like opera *except* his because the music is soooo darn good (also, the Magic Flute's funny and The Marriage of Figaro is like Three's Company - misunderstandings - on steroids)

  • Yeah ! Very wonderful Electronic job. Congratulations !!!

  • sounds good. a great example of what that software can do. Just needs some reverb to make it sound more realistic :)

  • @turbotlm

Thanks for the info man, gosh this music composition stuff is really expensive... It sucks to be poor lol. I can't play more than 10 in 3 seconds without experiencing a panic drop from the Ram. So progressive playing will be difficult and arpeggio's are definately out of the question for now.. but i'll give it a try.

Please upload more projects buddy :)
