Santa Maria, California, USA
Recorded via Samsung Convoy cell phone
Recorded on June 6, 2011
This is video of the same direction as the previous video 24 hours later. The rain had stopped and that is both good and bad. It is good when it comes to the spread of radiation contamination. However, it is not good when it comes to the drought. It is fire weather season for most of the United States. Every year, the threat of wildfires are getting worse partly due to areas affected by drought. The southern part of California is in drought and the vegetation is dry. There is always wind blowing in Santa Maria and a wildfire can grow very fast. There were brush fires that burned several acres in minutes.
