For three extraordinarily silly people like The Goodies to appear on Top of The Pops...it's a wonderful bit.

I think this song is so cute and funny, though I don't remember seeing it on TOTP.

you can't cage a ducks, like they do chickens, so duck more or less are free range, same with sheep

It is not pathetic - it is surreal (see end of part 3 String: "It's surreal"; "Don't get it myself"). You either like it or you don't, in which case, push off.
