but lucky enough when i started chen to find a real chen master in china that uses the da gan , big pole , i brought it home i recommend everyone gets one
I never knew Chen Shi Taiji even had a long pole set! I need to ask my Shifu about it. It looks a lot like my Wing Chun Kuen pole set too. Different type of pole though.
Its amazing how despite differences in external appearances of their empty hand forms, when it comes to the Pole/Spear techniques, they all look pretty much the same!

All the mechanics and physics of weapon wielding are the same in different Taiji schools, and probably across all martial arts.
