Must be early season? I did the exact same thing on the top of Weissflühgipfel. Thought there was metres of fresh powder but managed to find the one nasty rock with the edge of my Arbor Element. First ride of the season and I took out the lovely wood top sheet.

uh that hurts... i also got the sick stick round new year and pushed it a bit too much...thank god it could be fixed without much work

To the core? Did it pull the edge out? Or will a (large) patch sort it?
1st day on a new board? Typical.
