Just a day in the life working in one of my journals. I'm working on getting better lighting and a better setup for filming in the future. This is still a learning experience for me. :)

  • Hi Kim,

It's a handmade watercolor journal with thick watercolor paper.

  • What type of paper are you using and what type of journal? Thank you.

  • @kimberlypens for some reason they wont let me post a link to the journal. I'll email it to you.

  • @kimberlypens Do a Google search for "Handmade Punjab Watercolor Books"

    Hope that helps.

  • Thanks Topaz!!

  • Hi Julzabro, Yes, some artists do prefer to work the pages first and then put them together. I think it is just a matter of preference. I don't normally work a single page from start to finish... I jump around a lot in my book and then will go back so that's why I prefer the book already together. I also like to carry it around and it's easier than having a bunch of loose paper. But if It works better for you unbound I say- "Go for it!". It's all about finding what works best for YOU! :)

  • I am going to try a variation of this!

  • Hi Ophelia! Great to see you here. :)

  • I'm working on an art journal right now 2....thanx for the inspiration! Also, I love the two tiered table u have. I've been thinking since I started mine that maybe it would've been easier to make the journal pages seperately and THEN bound them into book form...what do u think? That way u can start many pages at once without the incumberance of wax paper and working within the book's form. I love how the shape pops after u add the ink...awesome!

  • Glad I found you on Youtube! Great video! Awesome page!
