It's a different style than what I'm used to, but props for being pretty clean. Also, are the shorter poles more difficult or easier? I've only had experience with 6 foot poles.

@MissyKailyn my guard doesn't use 6 ft, we use 5 ft. So not everybody uses them, obviously.
-
our guard uses 5 1/2 foot poles as our main poles, but we have 6 foot poles (only a few so we use them as banner poles) these weird 7s, and 8 foot banners. the 8 foot banner used to be 10, but that was a hassle to carry so we sawed them down to 8.
you guys are a pep band right? some stuff isn't as tight as ti can be, but i see this is an old video so i'm sure it's improved a good deal.

@LuzMireyaVasquez ok, I just saw your video, it's no different than this school, so don't be getting a big head now.... btw, oaks middle school's routine is just too simple.

The routine was very nice. And we have those same uniforms in black, but then again I suppose everyone does, I've seen these uniforms everywhere.

@brwneydgirl70 Nope. They were actually for our school colors red, white, and blue. I've graduated high school about 2 years ago but I'm pretty sure we still have those flags...

ive only ever used 5 1/2 foot poles or 5 foot poles. we can't afford new ones. also, solidarity moment! one of those moves is exactly like one of ours!! <3<3 that has never happened before to me, except with like, windmills dropspins and double butterflies. we call it the aerosmith, and its damn near impossible to do even with a 5 1/2 foot pole. it's one of my favorite moves :D

Thank the LORD someone else out there uses 5 1/2 ft poles too! Everyone gives me crap about it but all the routines we do don't work with poles any bigger. What move were you talking about?

My school's guard used 5'6" poles foreverrr and we're just now starting to use 6' for this upcoming year. Those poles in the video ARE abnormally short, though. lol. I probably wouldn't be any good with one. XD
But, they are right about the flags. Nowadays, it's very hard to get smaller sized ones; that's why we switched in the first place.

Actually it's pretty easy to find flags. We never have trouble.
