Hello, world.

Hi, my name is Shinya Uchida, and I'm a salarymagician.

Today was supposed to be another historic day which we discover a new means of communication.
However, we were unable to see that day come forth, at least not in Japan.

Around the same date from last year, I was doing a performance at this very place, with a very thrilled feeling.
It did not occur to me at all, that I would be experiencing this day with a complete opposite feeling.

We have suffered from the nature.
But, we have received so much from the nature as well.

We have suffered from technology.
But, we were able to save so many people's lives from technology as well.

It was such an incident, one big enough that we were forced to re-question ourselves whether what we have been believing was a friend or a enemy.

The power of nature is beyond our imagination.
In the event of earthquake disaster, tens of thousands of people died.

And at this very moment, many people are still fighting.
In a time as such, there is not much a mere entertainment can do.
However, it is not useless at all.
People are capable of communicating.
What I can do is ask everyone in the world to help us.


There is a short story called, "The Hummingbird Story."

When a fire broke out in the deep forest, every living animal ran for their lives.
However, a hummingbird was there to scoop a small droplet of water using its beak trying to put out the fire.
Other animals asked the hummingbird,

"What is the point of doing so?"

The hummingbird replied,

"I'm only doing what I can."


There is not much regarding what I can do against this disaster.
But I will give my best until the day Japan will be back normal as the Japan I know.
If you get this message, can you please try to help us in your very own way?
Thanks to everyone, there has been a lot of donation and aid supply so far,
but I'm afraid it is not sufficient.

Your help will definitely make a difference.

When there is peace in Japan again,
Japan can show its technology to the world,
Japan can give support to the world.

That hummingbird actually wanted to put off the fire when sick-hearten people tried to burn Prophet Ibrahim. The end of the story? The fire didn't BURN at all.

Fire means to burn. How come the fire didn't burn? Do you ever think of that? There's no modern technology at that time.

Anyway, the hummingbird also wanted to play a part in helping this prophet in its own "little but meaningful" way.. I hope I can do like it too.. sorry for not volunteering..
