Well, it's either we agree to give them Sharia or we go back to fighting a costly counter-insurgency war with them. I don't like the nuts in Aceh but it's alright, time will teach them that they have to change their ways, as they see that investment and the economy continue to grow immensely in the other regions (as compared to their crappy province), they will relax or even abandon their rogue provincial laws.

@danielsihombing Egypt has not and does not apply Shariah law.Shariah is a complete and comprehensive system of governance that covers not just penalties and punishment, but also rewards and justice, banking and finance,social wellbeing,rights of parents, spouse, and children and many more. In Egypt there are'nt any modesty police enforcing the head scarf, or loose pants or dresses, nor do they ban alchohol, or public display of sexual foreplay, nor does law execute Adulturers, or ban Casinos.

Pre US occupied Iraq was never under Shariah. Sadaam Husein never called his rule Sharia law. As a matter of fact Iraq was ran by Bath party which were near to Communist and atheist. Sharia law is a gross violation of human right. It should be abandoned altogether. Aceh should be returned to normal. Live is under oppression in Aceh now.
