i always get hiss when recording straight from the two condenser mics on the actual device, how was this so clear?!

All you need to sync is just use an audio cue, like a click. Then on the video editing timeline line up the click with the on-camera click, and there your audio is sync'd! Simples!

All you have to do is get plural eyes and it syncs instantly. Saves a ton of time!
