Nice trails! In the mid 80's I started throwing mud with a Baja bug on the banks of the Wabash in Peru, IN. One of the only two Baja bugs in Peru...other foreign cars were rare and somewhat unpopular with the town folk. For that matter being a USAF Airman was another negative. A store clerk made a sale to my friend, who owned a VW Golf GTI, and was told "We don't take kindly to strangers". My other friend bought a 'Zuki when they hit the market.
