I love this scene. Analyzing it brings a lot of messages. Notice the music in the background sounds classy yet sophisticated, something you would hear in high-end restaurants of the 1970s (like Tavern on the Green), yet they're eating in what seems to be an everyday meal of our modern times (lower-middle-class). It's because to them its a high class meal due to the restraints of overpopulation and famine. It makes you appreciate food and life in general does it not?
