Dead Words Funeral

This is a video of my students and I burying "dead words". The whole point of the activity is to identify words that the students use all the time and make them aware of all the other ways to say it. We use the 6+1 Writing Traits in our classroom and word choice is one of our favorite topics.

im in fourth grade and our old words are going away to florida and mexico because teacher says we can use the words but not as much and that they dont need to die
