@Geekstinkbreath123 I'm talking about Dookie lyrically compared to Insomniac, I'm just emphasizing my point on how much the writing changed and using even the 1 year gap between Dookie and Insomniac instead of the 4 year one with Kerplunk as people just say, it's called growing up. I bought these albums at the time as they came out.

@fatriff The lyrics on Insomniac are directly related to the success of Dookie and the pressures that came with it. Insomniac was the most pissed and honest time in Billie Joe's life, that's why the lyrics were so good. The first two albums were basically the songs we wrote when he was 16 about girls.
