The heads of the three U.S. automakers say they need immediate financial help or their companies could collapse. They told a US Senate banking committee that a proposed $25 billion rescue plan would help keep them on their feet. But many of the lawmakers doubt the aid will keep them afloat in the long-term and are blaming the automakers for their problems. Deborah Block reports from Washington.
Agree. What suffocates the car-industry IS Ford, IS GM, IS Chrysler. The market economy is trying to correct itself, its saying that if you spent the last decade making 3-ton pickup trucks and Humvees, you made all the wrong decisions and SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS.
I want to see Pelosi giving her salary to GM, as she is very happy to give all of ours.
