Steve Aceto of Montreat, NC, ran in the 2010 Cooper River Bridge Run in Charleston last year, but felt a pain in his chest and collapsed at the 5-mile mark. MUSC Nurse Kelly Hylton was among several MUSC runners who stopped to help Aceto's friend and personal physician Robert Barker perform life-saving CPR. When EMS alerted the MUSC Chest Pain Center that Aceto was enroute, Dr. Eric Powers mobilized a team that treated Aceto in just over an hour. Dr. Powers explains that Aceto suffered a near-fatal arrhythmia, but thanks to quick action and team work, he is now able to tell his amazing story in this video
