In this scene from "The War on Weed," correspondent Christof Putzel hits the streets of New York City with NYC Resistance, an underground videographer who films some of the 600,000 "stop and frisk" searches performed by the NYPD each year. Ninety percent of those who are stopped are black and Latino, and while across the country in Seattle many are allowed to openly smoke marijuana, in New York there are far harsher consequences -- and questionable tactics being used by authorities.

@Anothercoilgun Thats exactly why im trying to leave brother. There's good people here, and we do have a few a-holes of course. Ultimately the police enforcement is getting ridiculous....and coming the bronx and saying that it obviously must be bad because police activity has always been high. Its like paying an extra tax just to live here. Thats how often you're hit with a disorderly conduct or traffic ticket. These cops are just working to financially feed the system now. Its a sad situation.

I am curious what percentage they find carrying "weed" and what percentage are white, black, brown ect. Should be targeting a more upscale folks then maybe fining them for possession and make some money. Rather then costing money due to incarceration. Not sure if this video was a fascist video or one for all human rights no matter the color.

@88MetalMania Not sure really if you could look at it as fascist or not. I guess me and him when it comes to color we may have a different point of view. He may look at things racially as we've been taught in society, but I look at the world by nationality because thats the way God did it. He never described us by race, but nations. However, the actions by the police/system could be fascist in respect to how they deal with certain people "within" a nation.

Either way we should be concerned.

I believe in facts and my own observations no one else s, so your right your outlook would be totally opposite of mine and more "faith" based. I think the "law" stinks and is a violation of ones rights. Saying that if you were going to look for new customers for the dog business.
