Walkabout is an immersive interactive exhibit about how we walk. Participants learn about their own walks and compare them to others. The exhibit encourages visitors to repeat the experience, to learn how changing their walk changes the biometrics of speed, stride length, and relative energy expenditure. Because of the high tendency for visitors to repeat the experience, this exhibit naturally promotes high physical activity and combats childhood obesity.
