@katie100ster - Dude, did you hear what she said? Fear is the number one reason giving birth is painful, stalled, stressful, etc. Do a ton of research before you give birth, and do a lot of work on your attitude about it, and your chances are MUCH better of having a joyful, painless birth. Just because it's intense, doesn't mean "painful"

Thanks for the extra bit about position&stretching...great advice! My 1st two births were 1 1/2-2 hours total, body pushed for me, went w/the "pain" using water, breathing, low tones, second was born in car outside ER on my side...expecting third in day or two...

@hartrose33 so sorry, i didn't know. i have had to deal with a lot of bad grammar in the past that is done out of ignorance rather than true accident
-
@hartrose33 I meant with "every" labor pain. Not very . I forgot the e. Sorry about that.

@Mirani2 Before you message me about my grammar you might want to know who I am. I have a masters & I am doula. I did all that being dyslexic. You don't know how hard it is for me to get on here & help all the woman I do.Clearly you are perfect and have nothing to over come in your life. I wish you love , piece, joy and happiness in your life, because if my dyslexic post got you that upset that you had to the time out of your day and message about it, then you have more problems then you think.

@TypicalManderz It's a shame many women interpret the urge to push (like taking a crap) as "pain", and it's a real shame. Because birth is natural and shold not be painful! Pain is your body's way of telling you something's wrong, not right!

@hartrose33 There is no such thing as "very labor pain". Very is an adverb, Shakespeare.

I had a midwife as my birth couch and I squatted with very labor pain. That helped so much. The best thing I did. Then with you said go within. That is the only way I can describe how I felt. In between contraction I went inward and was able to quiet down, then with each pain I would feet it and breath and count down the pain, without pain meds. When when I started to push it was a great relief, like the squatting was, I was able to do something and really feel the baby.14 yr later I am a doula.

so to have non pain you have to control your feelings and think that it's just nothing. just push and relax

*didnt feel anything really*

Part 2. and the nurse checked her and she was ready for delievey, my mom said that i felt like a good shit. and she didnt anything really other then the earge to puch , with me, my younger sister she had a little bit but she was induced.
Thank you for posting. I am four months along and am curious about how to control the pain. My objective is to not take medication but if I need it, then I might.

@corysgirl06 I'm sure it's about trusting your body & being centred there with what's going on. Then you realise it's not pain, but your body & the baby working in harmony... I hope it goes well.
