HAMILTON, Ohio (WKRC) -- The Liberty Township parents accused of trying to give up their adopted son, pleaded not guilty Wednesday in court.Lisa and Cleveland Cox are charged with non-support of dependents. They had raised their adopted nine-year-old son since he was a baby. They tried to return him to Butler County Children Services. According to court documents, Lisa Cox thought the boy was a threat to her safety and the safety of her family. Lisa Cox wrote a letter to the boy, reading in part I am praying that God will take good care of you and...will find the perfect family to love you. The couple has since expressed interest in trying to reunite with the boy. Lisa and Cleveland Cox are out of jail on a $1,000 bond.
