No surprise. The 91-92 Hawks accumulated the second most PIM in one season ever (2663). Second to Buffalo from that same year (2703). That's an insane amount of over 33 minutes a game (I'm guessing an average of 4 fighting majors and 6 minors a game! An average of!!!). They had Grimson, Marchment, Smith, Chelios and Peluso- some of the game's roughest customers back then.
