  • Art songs, written for the male voice, are often sung by females. It's appropriate. It's a beautiful melody and it doesn't have to be gender exclusive, because of the text.

  • I thought her voice was pleasant

  • The is sung prettly badly and with very little feeling

  • For all those talking about the tempo

Frank is working tripple hard on tempo now

look forward to the new frank with his new

    tempo skills.

I can't completely approve this video

but I can say you managed to make that piano

obey you at important moments frank which means you do have the talent.

    Az.

  • once again you've made that horrible piano obey you frank, the problem is that piano.

    I approve this video.

  • Agree heavily with this guy.

  • Actually, sliding/scooping is never artistic. At least not in the style of Faure. And the tempo was too fast, end of story. Faure doesn't like rubato but there is a marked difference between moderato and what was on this recording. Actually, it's possible that I might be an expert, seeing as I've been studying music and French musical literature for what..5 years now?

  • It sounds like the sliding and scooping was an intentional artistic choice she made, and there is really no right or wrong way to portray a piece. And Faure wrote the song to be Andante, or moderate tempo, which is how Lia took it here. But thanks anyway, you expert you.

  • not trying to hate, but I will say the comment I got in my jury. waaaay too fast (and don't slide/scoop from one note to the next,) otherwise, not too shabby.

  • I get to sing this song for a solo tomarow and I dont have it memorized yet YAY me
