Here is a short tutorial showing you how to create a simple 'reverse reverb' effect in Cubase 5.

For this tutorial I used all included plug ins from Cubase and tried to keep it as simple as possible.

After doing the video, I think I might have decreased the the pre-delay a bit, on the reverb I added to the initial reverse sound clip. But for the purpose of the tutorial, it makes no difference, everyone should experiment to get the sound they want.

Leave comments if you have any questions and enjoy.

For a detailed tutorial on how to do the inter-application recording see in this video see my other video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4qyGS-6o4Q

The sound effect used is from Sound Ideas sample library located here: http://www.sound-ideas.com/voice.html

  • Cool Poltergeist effects there!! How's the cpu usage on Cubase 5? I'm using CS4 thinking of upgrading to 6..

  • @Zhorellski Not totally sure, I upgrade comps when I went from 5 to 6, so I can't really say if it is taxing my system more. 4 to 5 was about the same though. Thanks for watching!

  • I know this is a noob question but how do you record something from one track to another in Cubase?

  • @YoungCash82 That's not a noob question at all. Just look at my other videos to see two different ways for inter-application recording (within Cubase). The link to the video is in the description.

    :]

  • do you have a video of how to bring down the pitch in a vocal or intsrument for example normal vocals and then turn pitch down like a turn table ..... or for piano turn the octaves lower

  • ok sth funny happened right now lol

I added a REV i wanted to the audio, then reversed that audio, exported the REV reversed audio then imported it (I dont know why group channel recording tech doesn't work fro me, no audio goes through, anyway )...now i reverse back the audio, the technique is there but the word has changed lol ... the word was ''YOU'' and now it sounds like ''Scout ?!!!'' lol, last night it worked fine but now it gives me hypothetical words lol, can you help me?
