It's a good thing that **** Eddie King left Victor to go to Columbia, but judging by the number of hot Columbias from the late '20s, I'd say they (possibly A&R man Arthur Bergh) kept him out of the way so he wouldn't hinder the artists' potential. Heh heh.

Wonderful! One of the few recordings that allowed the Goldkette musicians to cut loose and show their abilities. Listen to Steve Brown on the string bass - amazing sound for January 1927.
