  • I often wish that the past was still the present... Gymnastics has gone downhill artistically, and it started speeding downhill after Athens, in my opinion. Gymnastics needs another Khorkina, Onodi, Miller, Silivas, or Podkopayeva to match the artistry of the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. That's just my opinion, as I said, but it does get tiring when all you see is tumbling and barely any choreography (here's a perfect example of that lack of choreography: Shawn Johnson).

  • Thank you so much. Videos such as these help me to appreciate what today's gymnastics has derived from. Without the past there would be no present.

  • @dahighbar My gut instinct was to disagree with this comment, then I paused, and you summed it up perfectly in one sentence. Well done :-)

  • Milo won with difficulty and presentation that deserve the love of the 10 and last 10 in gymnastics competition ever. The 10 started from Nadia and end with Milo a rom to rom

  • Onodi's floor routine is magical.

  • I've always totally ADORED Gutsu's split leg layout!!

  • I remember being heart broken for Kim Z. after this final and also I had wished Henrietta had tied because I thought she was so cool. :)

Kind of wish they hadn't got ridden of the tie breaker in the Olympics in later years.

  • Miller vs gutsu..A very artistic American and an American like Soviet.

  • Thank you so much for all your videos!! I couldn't thank you enough, they are so rare and in amazing quality please keep uploading!

  • Imagine if Choussovitina hadn't stepped out of bounds....it would have been a 4 way tie for the bronze!!!!!

  • Thanks a lot. I remember every moment of this video back in 1992 when i was in college. Great memories.
