I remember being heart broken for Kim Z. after this final and also I had wished Henrietta had tied because I thought she was so cool. :)
Kind of wish they hadn't got ridden of the tie breaker in the Olympics in later years.

I often wish that the past was still the present... Gymnastics has gone downhill artistically, and it started speeding downhill after Athens, in my opinion. Gymnastics needs another Khorkina, Onodi, Miller, Silivas, or Podkopayeva to match the artistry of the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. That's just my opinion, as I said, but it does get tiring when all you see is tumbling and barely any choreography (here's a perfect example of that lack of choreography: Shawn Johnson).

Thank you so much. Videos such as these help me to appreciate what today's gymnastics has derived from. Without the past there would be no present.
