This album, Sketches of Spain, was recorded between November 1959 and March 1960 — after John Coltrane and Cannonball Adderley had left the band. Miles teamed with British arranger Gil Evans for the third time to record this album of classical arrangements

  • This is the first album i ever bought i was sixteen years old and it was in 1961. I still play it and it is as fresh as the day i got it.

    albums. This set the tone for mood theme

    jazz albums that came out in the 60's &

    early 70's. Miles & Gil Evans were a match

    made in heaven!
