High Speed Trains at Retford Station HST 125 225 and 180 Sets 3rd Sep 2011.wmv

Some high speed train action at Retford station on the ECML south of Doncaster in a 50 minute period on 3rd September 2011.

I went here to burn up the last day of a four day North East Railrover that I bought earlier in the week.

We see a Hull Trains 180 some East Coast HST 125 and 225 sets and a Grand Cenrtral HST 125 all at top speed through Retford Station.

thats a good one from spotting from, seen some exellent vids from there, but in my opinion theres defnitly nothing better than a deltic comming round that corner at full growl, thanks

@wattass7 - Agree it must be great to see a Deltic here. Just decided to go here as I had a spare day on a Railrover and It was the furthest I could go on it. My first visit and very quiet on the station. Quite spooky.

@MEKAYJIMMYNATHE - Thanks for the video you sent, really enjoyable and much appreciated. I've sped through here many times behind a Deltic in 60s and 70s but it must be great to watch one 'live'. My very first visit to the station but been through it at least 500 times I would think.

I was only there 50 minutes and everything I seen is on this video, and no freight like you say, but only as it was a Saturday. Not a great lot during the week I'm told. Not exactly a spotters paradise :-)
