  • God bless PDQ and the good Professor for keeping his legacy alive!

Ironically - the PDQ Bach albums were a critical part of my introduction to Classical music: I knew there was something funny that I was missing, so I went about exploring it further!!

  • "he really stood for nothing". haha Genius.

  • Wonderful!!! Schickele is hilarious!

I was fortunate to attend the premiere of his Concerto for Horn&Hardart, 50+ years ago, during his senior-class concert at (the old) Juilliard. I've been a life-long fan of his ever since. I should have realized that his inspiration was Spike Jones.

BTW, Snyder, you were wrong. Jones' arrangement wasn't of Tea for Two--it was Cocktails for Two.

    RIP, Tom. Loved you, too.
