Power Management Problems

Hello There,

I have a quick question about a dell 546s thats stuck in power save mode. I think its my video card, I had two videos running on the split screen windows 7 feature and the next day I got the amber light. It has the AMD athlon 2 (x3) and It is not used often almost like new. If you have any knowledge on this subject I would be greatful. I have no prob picking up a new video card if the Hdmi chord does not respond, but I dont want to have this blown again. Thanks a Bunch

@midgitmong Hey friend, what did ya find out about this issue. I have a 546s with the same prob and I think it is my video card. I ran the split screen on the windows 7 with two videos running. I think i burned it out. Thanks

hi, this is Gris, i have a POWER MANAGEMENT problem with my dell desk top COMPUTER. THE STAND BY OPTION IS GRAYED OUT. SINCE 2 MONTHS AGO, I HAD A VIRUS ON Y PC AND I TOOK IT TO A REPAIR STORE, AND THEY DISABLE THE STAND BY OPTION. IS THERE BUT I CANT CLICK ON IT. AND WHEN I GO TO POWER OPTIONS I CANT SEE THE HIBERNATE BOTTON THERE. MY PC IS A DELL E520 MODEL. AND IS WINDOWS XP. PLEASE HELP!!! THANKS.

hey whats sup dude i have a question. every time i turn on my desktop the screen stays black and it says "power saving mode" and i dunno what to do..

iv been trying to fix but no luck. that happened from one day to another.

i have windows vsta now it is a dell computer it has no sleep or wake up buttons but its in power save mode ive unplugge all the wire no diffrent also the on button flashes orange every secong got any tips on getting it back
