  • Man at one point no one and I do mean no one could sing like Whitney. This is a great song. Her voice was the best. I don't know if she can still sing like this but we will find out though with her new cd. Man, I sure hope so.

As a matter of fact I love this soung track cd/

  • Dammnnnnnnn!!! As much as I love Pauletta, I've always wanted Denzel for Whitney, like I would have wanted Aaliyah for Pac/DMX/Nas, or Lauryn for D'angelo and Usher for Beyonce or Pooch Hall for Tia Mowry Hardrict...how crazy would that have been...but such is life...even though I am still hell-bent on Whit& Denz,or Pac & Baby girl(since w/ Jada it would never work out) !!!!!! :( Btw have y'all seen Denzel's newest trailer 'Safehouse', it looks like a 'Training Day Hit' in the making...Go C IT

  • @therealeben Whitney's career expanded beyond music. Besides acting (earning $10,000,000 a film before profit), she was concentrating on film and TV projects. She produced The Princess Diaries which was an international box office hit, among other projects. The notion that her career declined is not accurate. Her record sales declined but she had already moved into other avenues. No recording artist remains on top as far as mainstream commercial success is concerned. Whitney made other moves.

  • @therealeben Mariah released albums at a rate of one album a year between 1990 and 1995. Don't forget that at the beginning of her recording career at Sony she wasn't a touring artist. She did video promos and live TV but she mainly concentrated on writing, recording and releasing albums at a rate more common with artists who recorded in the era (1950's-1970's) when albums were released very frequently. In other words, she released a lot of product/material at the height of her popularity.

  • @therealeben Her lowest sales were in the in the last decade. From 2000 she started to have more bad publicity, as her marriage unraveled and became tabloid fodder. It also coincided with the problems she was having with her voice (which began around 1994 on 'The Bodyguard tour' and gradually deteriorated in the years that followed) for a myriad of reasons including nodules, chain smoking and her drug addiction. It became more noticable in her albums and live performances.

  • @therealeben Are you serious? It had nothing to do with that. She released albums at a similar ratio to Michael Jackson. She released 2 albums in the 80's, 5 albums in the 90's (3 of those albums were soundtracks which accompanied successful movies in which she was the leading actress). 'The Bodyguard' was the biggest selling album of the 90's (when Mariah was in her prime), so its had nothing to do with her. Whitney also expanded her enterprise by moving into film production with great success.
