Why not believe that he is cured?...or that you can recover from autism for that matter? If no one ever believed in cures we wouldn't have any therapies, medicines, or recoveries. You have no evidence to prove he isn't recovered. People are quick to assume the worst. Why not hope for the best?

I really liked your channel and this video. If you need any help getting this video exposed I use a site called tubeviews.(net) It has really helped like 20 of my main videos get to the top in position. Its nice.
Nice.

I think people leaving these comments need to think about what they are saying when that talk about autism being "offensive." Since when does my son offend society?!?! You offend us!

I read about this sunshine program when my son was very small a culmination of methods helped me pull my son out in to this world i truely believe that you need to dedicate your time and energy into what works for your child pecs Photos with words on help bring his words out i used makaton and eye contact and eventually he is now going to main stream school and talking and communicating very well

I think if the child is given the tools to communicate that previously weren't there then yes, the child is probably happier. However, I do think a lot of therapies are about making children with autism less offensive. This isn't to say that's bad. For instance, if a child is aggressive it's pretty important to quell that behavior to facilitate understanding in others. As far as this boy is concerned I don't think he's "cured"--you can't "cure" autism--but I think he's better adjusted.

I beleive he is happier because he is living with his condition. It is not cured there are no cures but they can break away, and become more involved with love with emotion.
What an amazing testimony as to what a mother and father's dedication to their son can do. What child is not worth this? But I do have to say the title of this video is very misleading. A person who has autism may always think differently than those of us who do not have it. We are giving them the tools that they need to function in our society. It takes an amazing amount of attention and dedication, but not always with these same results.

I too have an autistic son. They have done a great job with kyle. However i dont beleive they have cured him of his autism, Only taught him to act like a neurotypical person. Does this make the child happier? or less offensive to us neurotypicals??
