  • The reason I prefer to heat the button is that we temp at the button. We know the sleeve starts to expand at around 170 degrees at the button so that's a more accurate way of knowing what your sleeve is doing inside the case. Another reason why I prefer to heat the button is that my primary focus is the expansion of the top of the sleeve. Both ways work though.

  • Thomsonfly212: This is the break in for real competions engines. They have a another procedure doing the break in.

  • does this method make the engine break because some people say let it idle for 1-2 tanks of fuel then slowly start to increase the speed as u get through each tank ??? please reply i want to buy one

  • the method u have done , seemss making sense, but has it worked well compare to other methods?

  • How many gallons do your motors hold their compression for from this method? I have to get a new motor soon so I need the best way to break in an engine

  • if i was to do this when it is cold would i keep the foil/sock/fome on or not
