  • fabulous! just the other day i was talking with some mates and thinking how handy it would be to make dog poo glow... although in faecal matter is the bacteria dead?

  • @naughteedesign, nope the bacteria are alive, hence why its important to wash hands after going to the toilet! For my postdoctoral work I engineered a microbe that gives mice glowing poo.... so it is certainly possible!

  • Cool science, nicely presented.

  • I LOOOOVE Science :)

  • This is truly awesome! I love when research in one field directly affects another field. Just goes to show how important it is to fund ALL research.

    Found this via Skepchick.

  • Beautifully animated and well narrated explanation weaving the thread from fireflies to the complexities of trial medicine. More please! (even if it's not accompanied by the great graphics, good hard science bites like this are hard to find.)
