I tried a new recipe out for some sunflower seed bread. I also wanted to demonstrate how easy it is to use a breadmaker for anyone who has always wondered but never tried one.
I know the video is really long but stick around for the "out takes" at the end.

  • Hello. Just to let you know I followed your recipe and used the recipe on the website as a guide. I like to use visuals to see someone actually do it so I know what to do. It turned out great! It turned out to be a very tall loaf. I tried to follow the instructions measurents but I think I maybe pit 5 tablespoons of honey LOL and like 1/3 cup more of sunflower seeds. This is one of the first breads that turned out nice for me on a bread maker. Im excited to try it tomorow morning!

  • @maplepoon It was soooo good.

  • Do you you normally put sugar in bread?

Flax seed is also good for those wanting to diet.

If you add a spoonfull or two to your food...when you eat it...it swells in your stomac and makes you feel fuller.

There by reducing the amount of food you eat.

but if you eat healthy....you shouldnt really worry about that.

  • @RDPproject some recipes call for it, some don't.

  • Great idea about buying the bread thing.....a lot of people get them as gifts....but who makes bread anymore (bseide us LOL) I though you needed special yeast for those machines.....oh and did you know if you don't break the flax seed a little the body can't do it by it's self. So they just go right trough. Bread looked nice.

  • @jihadacadien I did not know that about the flax seeds... I will need to keep that in mind. Thanks ~Amanda

  • Loved the out-takes

  • Great video :)

  • I've been using my bread machine on dough setting. Last year I bought a mini-oven. Think toaster oven but bigger and much better. I can put two bread loaf pans in mine. It has a time, preheats really fast and doesn't heat up our house like the big oven. Plus this way I don't have the hole from the mixer. lol.

Bread looks great! I love adding flax and whatever else I have available. :)

  • @GettingThereGreen Yeah you don't have to turn them into a flour like I do....you just need to break the seeds and the body will do the rest. Oh and it's better to do this before the recipe because the seeds will start losing their nutritionnal value. But store them in the fridge and they should be good for a week. And that's also why you don't want to buy flax flour at the store. =)

  • LOL...looved the bloopers.
