This is just the rest of my video that didn't fit! Again, people, love yourself the way you are, the way GOD intended you to be! He doesn't make mistakes! And stop being so hateful towards others! Men, especially African American men, stop stepping on your beautiful QUEENS and putting us down. There would be no you if it weren't for us! We are the mothers of this earth! Start treating us that way!

  • Personally, I love the dark, strong west African traits in women. It's a shame they don't seem to be popular in American pop culture. I love natural nappy hair on a black woman.

  • @MuseseekerMan Thank u! Glad someone does! ;-)

  • Now on to other things that were said...it's so funny how many ppl judge black women as "wanting to be white' or "conforming" because some of us wear weaves yet no one comments when white women pay to get tanned or get botox and implants so im glad u also pointed that out...As far as India Arie/Alicia Keys statement I completely agree with Haylo42083 Alicia sold way more so that situation wasn't an act of colorism..now these hip-hop music videos those are perfect examples!

  • @BarbieD0llCandee Very true! but you know that will always be the case! Society will never point out the obvious. But we are certainly not the only race to wear weaves and so forth. But who cares! I'm glad to see in this day and age more black women loving themselves as they are no matter what they decide to do to their hair or whatever. We've definitely come a long way! Thank you for your comments! :-)

  • I agree with u for the most part but Alicia should won w/e award not because she is lighter but because her album sold more and Indie Arie does more neo soul which typically doesn't get as many accolades as r&b and hip hop be careful not to search out discrimination. there's a lot of it out there but not every thing boils down to race and skin color. I'm also chocolate and I have all those comments that you've mentioned also I have always had long, natural wavy (not coarse hair). Great vid btw

  • @haylo42083 Thank you. U make a valid point. I will admit that the the genre of music and sales definitely played a key factor in the awards, however, I do feel if India was more widely appealing to our "society's" eye, she would have maybe gone a lot further. Thank you for your comments and for your well wishes! Sorry I'm so late on responding! ;-)

  • i never been crazy about liteskin women.all blk women are beautiful but society has pple thinking liteskin is best, well has some of us anyway.my point not all men think liteskin is better than darkskin women,i always prefered dark and brownskin women but all are beautiful.

  • @RememberTheTime09 I meant 'do it again' haha, I'm still sleep! But I agree there hasn't been MANY but there have been some women that broke big.

  • Wait Lauryn Hill was a TOP chick, than she left/changed. Has Beyonce/Alicia ever been on Time magazine and stuff like that like Lauryn?! But she is poised for a comeback maybe she will did it again. Anyhow enjoyed your video sweetie!

  • @vonnj007 You're very welcome, dollface!! And it's okay that you have a little "grease" in yours. I could say soooo much about you!!! But I'll leave to the other commentors; they'll say it all, if it's good!! ;-0)

  • @woodie62 Good point, two totally different sounds. But inmy personal opinion India can sing circles around Alicia. But they are both amazing song writers. To each his own. Thank u for ya comment! ;-)
