Le Onde means "The Waves". Le Onde is an album released in 1996 by the Italian pianist Ludovico Einaudi. The album is based on the novel The Waves by British writer Virginia Woolf, and was Einaudi's first solo piano album. The album enjoyed mainstream success, particularly in Italy and the UK.
Ludovico Einaudi (born 23 November 1955 in Turin, Piedmont) is an Italian contemporary music composer and pianist. Although Einaudi would prefer not to be labeled as any particular type of genre, he is sometimes referred to as a Minimalist.
