Not old enough to remember? When this song came out it BLEW all the late 80s hair band crap out of the water. Most rock music was truly shit at that time in Summer 1991, and Niirvana changed it all for everyone—Matchbox 20 included. When I first heard this song, I said to myself, "WTF IS this?" The sound JARRED you—it was so different from all the shit on the radio, including even the great punk rock that came before it. It was so fresh and original. Moments like that are rare in music.
