Why would you use a small knife? It's too slow bc you cant load up as much mud and you can fill the whole rebate quicker with a big knife/trowel. Good job dude

There are many different tools and ways to achieve your drywall taping goals. As long as the end product is smooth and flat, it doesn't matter how you do it.

nice work but why don't u use a 4" knife to apply the mud and an 8" to wipe it out? That big hawk applies more mud than necessary and that leads to more sanding.

@jyambor I don't sand at all between coats. It doesn't matter what you use for tools as long as it is clean and you end up with the same results as someone who uses a trowel to tape drywall.
