The Joint Parliamentary Committee has completed hearings into the controversial demolition of properties in Syokimau and Eastleigh. The Committee grilled three cabinet ministers in-camera this afternoon before retreating to write its report and as Irene Choge reports, the report should be ready by Wednesday next week.

  • @karuitha now go and play with your iPad.

  • @karuitha wtf... who gives a shit about iPads? Also, I'm from Europe, where our homes have had internet installed for more than a decade, which means I haven't stepped foot in an internet cafe since the 90s. Where I'm from if you don't have internet in your house, you are viewed as a bit of a weirdo.

  • @Utadowot remember how Moi fashioned the once popular commissions of inquiry, everytime a politician was assassinated or a big scandal happened. The outcomes of these commissions are still a mystery. Moi knew that was the only way to fool Kenyans and we fell for it. Now these goons in parliament \re trying to fool us yet they are the ones who owns those grabbed lands.

  • @soundbeans and your problem is? ever heard of a device called Ipad? unlike you, I dont have to go to an internet cafe, I got my 3G backed Ipad with me all the time, which means I can access the internet anytime of the day I feel like. wewe shida hapo tu, dunia inaendelea mbele.

  • It is clear that Kenya is still very culturally primitive. Just watch the segment where Kibaki is addressing the crowd. They are so receptive to whatever he says, no matter what the fuck he says. Every one of his sentences is met with acknowledgement from the crowd, (eeeehhhhhhh *clapclapclapclap*) no matter how meaningless. Kenyans, please get rid of this jungle tribe mentality.

  • @karuitha do you actually live inside youtube??? you leave a message on every kenyan video I have ever seen. are you a millionaire that doesn't need to work and just spends all day browsing youtube?

  • @merkeju. Well said.

  • As much as I value human life ,I still believe that Kenyans should take it to the streets if they ever want change or justice.

  • what a waste of time and resources, nothing will be done, the government has given you their answer 0.50

  • @karuitha well said it has all been casually handled "behind closed doors" as more demolitions continued and more committees were formed to investigate...and the cycle, er...struggle continues
