  • I know Meb is an excellent runner and I respect his recommendations; however, if he is sponsored by Powerbar, then why should we trust him to eat that stuff? They're filled with preservatives that is not good for your body.

  • hes says "in between the second workout I have to have a little bit of powerbar or fruit" Since he is sponsored by powerbar, and this is a powerbar video, we can all assume that he really means " "in between the second workout I have to have a little fruit but powerbar pays me to say powerbar also" It's ok to have powerbars before your hardest workouts, but I doubt Meb, an elite athlete, eats them nearly as many times as he said in this video

  • There are a bunch of powerbar haters here...less nagging, more running!!

  • @Runaholism i bet he gets a modified bar that makes him superman.

  • @ZQPYU everything you say in your post is very true, everyone else is being annoyinggg

  • @Runaholism if your body isnt tough enough to handle some powerbars, you may want to train harder

  • Yes, this is a Powerbar commercial but you cannot pay Meb enough to lie, even a little, if such a thing exist. Remember people, he burns more calories before noon than most people do all day. The carbs have got to keep streaming in, slowly, or the parties over.

Powerbars, or in my case, cliff bars along with fruit, are an excellent way to fuel recovery. The main meals should include a high proportion of vegetables, with good complex carbs.

  • @Runaholism powerbar advertises no preservatives....

  • If you have ever been to a high school meet you would want them eating these power bars before a run, instead of the chips, sodas and other crap these kids are eating. It is not just the power bar is is talking about here...

  • @crimsonmonie fake food...lol

  • He eats way too many powerbars! They are fake food! This video is definately not a good source for nutrition.
