Act like assholes in massive numbers and what do you expect. Anarchy leads to chaos which leads to tyranny. If any of them value freedom then why abuse it. Socialism is the ruling class issuing out the crumbs to the 99%. Don't be so stupid to protest for Socialism. Idiots deserve what they get!

protest for something actually relevant to australia like save the kimberly or save the murray darling. this is such a ridiculous protest it annoys me that police resources have to be wasted on it. most protestors dont even understand what they are protesting for.

@elhunto666 A recent survey of Occupy Melbourne has shown that over 90% of occupiers have jobs, and can't come into Occupy Melbourne on a regular basis because of them, just remember that you are probably part of the 99% too, it is you we are protesting for, we are waiting for you to wake up and realise how stupid you're being.

As a non violent protester who was arrested, I'd like to state that:
- most of us have jobs and some of us have multiple jobs
- some of us work while we study
- there are people from all walks of life, not just the stereotypical 'hippies'
- there are people of all cultures and nationalities
- and most protesters aren't on 'the dole'
- most protesters who were arrested were released because we were not breaking any laws (including myself)
