@gropingwithastoker Jimi Hendrix, in 1959, heard a pop tune, "The Big Hurt" by Miss Toni Fisher and was so blown away by the special effects which qualified the Miss Toni Fisher song as one of the first psychedelic records (before the name was even coined) that Hendrix decided to expand on the sound further and... the rest is history...
