They can have babies together, pandas and black bears are just special varieties of syrian hamsters. Your hamsters getting along though, thats cool! Most syrian-type hamsters like to live alone.
I've had 2 syrian hamsters at once, twice. Both times they got alone so well that they would sleep together in the same house, they never fought... not once.
We're both lucky I guess. :p
