the kenyan fisherman said thanks to mirates we make 20 000 kenyan money a day whichs more 260 US dollar a day, thats lot of money they can make mounthy 5000 dollars.thats lot of money in africa. thanks you somali pirates.
Sucks, now there are hundreds of Marines in somali waters. So they are there to protect ships but do they protect Somali waters from Polluters and Fish thieves?
Nown Somalis and Africans can fish. Instead of waiting for food aid. thanks somalis i love you. my folks just save ordinary folks like the british couple. bannish the corporation and their unethical business practices. dont listen to the boggie man and the apologitics. just go to the somali coastal cities they are jumping for joy why weren't before the pirates stood up to the tyranny that is commercial european and asian fishing vessels. long live the pirate environmental and cultural savior
meanwhile the corporations and big business get to hurt or kill or disease thousands but thats ok????? how long are we going to continue to accept getting shafted by big business because it has a nice logo and a PR dept
The answer is as long as theres still 1 of us left willing to buy their products.
You must understand how the world works. I want a utopian world where everythings fair, but, not everything can be fair, especially when we rely on the system so much. Start growing some of your own food. Even if you can only replace 1% of what you consume with your own produce that's 1 step forward in the right direction. If we all can do that year after year then their grip on us is loosened.
Unfortunately, though. There is no magic cure. Do you need electricity? Petrol? Gas? Even these "taken-for-granted" things are part of big corps. Nearly every shop on the high-street is big corps. If you use any of those shops, then, in reality you're feeding the problem. Yes, we're also part of the problem...endless demand and consumption. They sell us ANYTHING because they know we'll buy it. Bored humans buying into the next buzz until they're bored again and need another fix.
To have any hope of changing anything we've got to change ourselves first. Less reliance on the system. Say "no thanks" when they're selling you the next new thing. It means we've got to stop being a consumer. You will realise very quickly that that's nearly impossible. None of us can simply disconnect from the system because in reality we are the system. We are a mirror of what's going on in the whole world and a mirror of what they've bought us up to see and do.
