The title sums it up. I do talk a little about the process I go through when I create stuff too.

  • By the way, i like your ideas on here on how to keep something out where you will see it a lot and then you can add to it a little at a time so you don't feel like you have to do it all at once...i am so impulsive that when i get the urge to do something i feel like i have to drop everything and do that so i would like to change that :-)

  • @Yeshuaiskingofkings another thing about surrounding yourself with your own work... it gives you a little more sense of yourself, if that makes sense. I tend to look to others for my identity quite a bit but when I listen to my own music or look through my artwork, I usually feel really good and have some kind of foundation. Make sense?

  • I get that antecipatory anxiety too. I actually can't sleep the night before those situations happen. Are you a professional musician? I used to play in a orchestra (for like 6 or 7 years) went for professional music school for the same amount of time. But it wasn't for me, I'm an INTJ so I like more analytical and problem solving stuff. But I still keep an interest in music and art.

  • @JoseGomes05

Semi-professional, I guess? I've played in bands but I tend to keep to myself these days. I've never done well in a classroom though, I'm mainly self-taught.

Analytical and problem-solving stuff - what sort of stuff do you mean?

  • @GrimmTeather But you have talent man, I've seen some your music videos :) I like stuff that makes me think. Coding, developing websites, planning stuff, etc. Hard to explain i guess. I don't do very well with feelings... and I guess you need feelings to be a good musician.

  • @JoseGomes05 I don't do well with feelings, unless it's music then. I do like seeing how things work though and I used to pull everything apart as a kid. Although I use a lot of feeling to play music, I became comfortable by going through all of the theory. It makes me feel safer or something but naturally I don't think technically.

  • @GrimmTeather yes, definitely makes sense :-)

  • i've got bad agoraphobia too... and i know what you mean about the anxiety before appointments or before social things...if i know a week in advance that my son is invited to a birthday party i get insomnia worrying about having to interact with the other parents but it is better if he gets invited at the last minute so i don't have time to stress about it...
