Pilgrimage visit to St. Therese's birthplace, Alencon

This video visits the birthplace of St. Therese in Alencon, France and shows the family life with her parents, Louis and Zelie Martin. The pope signed the decree on July 3, 2008 certifying the miracle performed by the parents and permitting the beatification on Mission Sunday, Oct. 19 2008.

The birth house of St. Therese just opened again in 2009 after remodeling. More rooms are now displayed showing the family life of the Martins.
The song sung during the video is Therese's poem Chant de Reconnaissance a Notre Dame du Mont-Carmel, PN 7.

There is now a proper visitor centre for pilgrims to Ste Thérèse's birthplace. The Church of Notre Dame nearby is now the Basilica of Notre Dame since the betification of M et Mme Martin in 2009.
