I wish this movie came out with the full 125 mins in the US. It wouldn't be a whole lot more succesful, but it definitely would make its money's worth in the US, as well as not have the weight of Tom's subsequent film Top Gun coming out a month later.

Stupid, stupid trailer. It conveys none of the films magic and sense of wonder, and presents it as some cheap cliché that could have come from the pen of George Lucas.

I first saw this when I was 6-7 years old, back in the mid 80's. Could you imagine seeing it just 5 years out of the womb? :D

And I loved it back then! That evil bastard always disgusted me, of course. And those sickening, slimy, slobbering trolls... BLEH! They really did do a good job on the costumes and makeup. The whole fantasy feel to it, just way ahead of its time, imo.
