This is a collection of images I made with an unmodded Canon Digital Rebel T1i, a NEQ6 Mount, and a Skywatcher Equinox80ed. The images of the Sun were made using a silver Mylar filter. Most of these images were taken from an extremely light polluted area in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. For some reason youtube converts the quality of the video and makes each image darker.. Thanks for watching.. Clear Skies! :)

  • Nice job, I am surprised you got the veil nebula from where you are. It is one of my favorite nebulas. Was a OIII filter used for it?

  • @redshift40 Thanks, the image of the Veil Nebula was shot from Steveston, British Columbia which is about 15min south of Vancouver.. still light polluted but not as bad as Vancouver. There were no filters used.. just an unmodded Canon 500d. Thanks for watching!

  • @jamieball - if you ever come up north let me know. 15 min. out of town here the skies are super dark. I have a great little 12.5" mirror from John at galaxy optics.

  • @redshift40 Cool, I don't know if I will be making my way up to Terrace any time soon.. but I bet your skies are nice and dark.. most of BC is pretty damn good.. mostly just the lowemainland suffers from bad light pollution :(

  • youtube doesnt cares about science they care about money, great video, thanks ! ! !

  • @trile666 Thanks, glad you enjoyed :)

  • @kiyoshiWhitley2 Thanks, unfortunately youtube converts the video into a lower quality and the images appear dimmer and noisier than they actually are..
